Technocracy Culture
A visual research of the Edo Period in Japan. The process included studying traditional visual representations of ancient cultures’ images of nature and daily life objects. Then recreate them in vectors using the technocracy method while keeping their essence and key elements. Using these tools to experiment with typography, icons and patterns.
The last part of the document contains experiments and happy mistakes that were created as a by-product through the process, the shapes and images that were left out of the artboard. The final products of the research were 2 posters; in black & white, representing the exploration's traditional and experimental sides.
